PolskaÉire Family Picnic in Galway
Great family day for our students, parents and invited guests ( i.e. Irish scouts groups, representatives of Galway’s community and voluntary organizations, local Councilors, Galway Mayor). Bouncy castles, face painting, sport competitions, art and crafts for kids, Polish and Irish music, relay games, local craft, BBQ with Polish food. We’ll start with Family Picnic in Polish School in Galway (Holy Trinity National School, Mervue, Galway). Polish and Irish Scouts will build Scouts Village – each team will organize the place/tent where they will present the team, their achievements and daily activities. Scouts families are also invited to participate in the picnic. Scouts teams are moving to camping place in Renville Park, Oranmore. A lot of scout’s adventurers will wait there for the teams, including: historical game about beginning of Scouting in Poland and in Ireland, learning Irish dance and Polish “Krakowiak” dance, Shanties’ Festival, “Goods of Nature” – workshop about herbs and other “goodies” form Irish forest. During the camp will be served national food from both countries.
